Privacy Policy
Effective July 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ePortfolio collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the ePortfolio app, website, and related services (the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information created through your use of the Service, and limited technical information from your device.
- Account information, such as your email address, authentication identifier, display name, username, biography, and profile photo.
- Portfolio content, including projects, descriptions, links, images, and other material you choose to upload or publish.
- Community activity, including follows, follow requests, messages, reports, appeals, moderation records, and creator discovery preferences.
- Device and service information, such as app version, device type, language, IP address, crash or diagnostic information, notification tokens, and security signals.
- Advertising information, such as consent choices, advertising identifiers when permitted, ad interactions, and information used to limit fraud and measure ad delivery.
2. How we use information
- Provide accounts, profiles, portfolios, discovery, messaging, notifications, and other Service features.
- Store, resize, deliver, and protect uploaded media.
- Personalize creator discovery and remember your settings.
- Detect spam, abuse, fraud, unsafe media, and violations of our Terms of Use; review reports and appeals; and enforce safety decisions.
- Deliver and measure advertising, manage consent choices, and support promoted creator placements.
- Maintain security, troubleshoot problems, comply with law, and improve the Service.
3. Public content and visibility
Your profile and portfolio content may be visible to other users or the public depending on your visibility choices and the feature you use. Information you publish can be copied, reshared, or indexed by others. Messages, reports, appeals, and account security information are not intended to be public.
4. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- With other users and the public when you publish content, interact with creators, or use social features.
- With service providers that host data, deliver notifications, process images, provide security and moderation tools, or serve and measure advertising. These include Google services such as Firebase, Google Cloud, and Google Mobile Ads.
- When reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or enforce our agreements.
- In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
- With your direction or consent.
5. Advertising and consent choices
The Service may show ads through Google Mobile Ads. Depending on your region and device settings, you may be asked whether personalized advertising is allowed. Where available, you can review or change eligible advertising choices in Settings under “Ad privacy choices.” Your device settings may also let you limit or reset an advertising identifier.
6. Data retention and inactive accounts
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, protect users, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by data type. Account and portfolio information is generally kept while your account is active. Reports, moderation decisions, security logs, transaction-like promotion records, and backup copies may be retained longer when needed for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or system recovery.
We may treat an account as inactive after 24 consecutive months without a successful sign-in or other authenticated, user-initiated use of the Service. Automated background activity, notification delivery, advertising activity, public portfolio views, and unsuccessful sign-in attempts do not reset the inactivity period.
Before an inactive account is scheduled for deletion, we normally send notices approximately 90 days, 30 days, and 7 days before deactivation using the account’s primary email address and, where available, in-app or push notifications. Signing in or otherwise using the Service while authenticated cancels the scheduled deactivation.
At the end of the notice period, we may deactivate the account and remove its profile and content from public access. We normally provide a 30-day recovery period before deleting account data and user content from active systems. Protected backup copies generally expire within a further 90 days.
Some limited information may be retained for longer when required or permitted for legal compliance, security, fraud and abuse prevention, dispute resolution, moderation, protection of users, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. Access to retained information is restricted, and it is securely deleted or anonymized when the applicable purpose ends.
Deletion may not remove information that another user has independently copied or reshared, information required to preserve the integrity of another user’s conversation, data held by third parties under their own policies, or information that has been irreversibly anonymized.
7. Your choices and rights
You can update certain profile information, portfolio content, visibility choices, notification permissions, theme and discovery settings, and eligible ad consent choices through the Service or your device. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of certain personal information, or to object to particular processing.
To delete a project or an individual project image without deleting your account, follow the project-data deletion instructions.
To request account deletion, follow the steps on the Delete Account page. You may also email wilfred.cruz.ph@gmail.com from the address associated with your account if you cannot sign in. We may need to verify your identity. Some information may be retained where permitted or required by law.
Before permanent inactivity deletion, you may reactivate your account by signing in. You may also contact us to ask about a scheduled deletion or request access to or a copy of eligible personal information. Applicable privacy rights and mandatory retention requirements vary by country.
8. Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. The Service uses providers that may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on recognized safeguards for international transfers.
9. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and you must meet any higher minimum age required in your country to use it without parental authorization. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child who is not permitted to use the Service. Contact us if you believe this has occurred.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy and change the effective date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
